Charles Day
Chares Day Steels are a specialist profiler based in Sheffield. As one of the UK’s biggest profilers their advanced services come at a premium however in a very price sensitive industry they needed to communicate their point of difference. Unfortunately as most of their business was done over the phone most customers saw them as a normal grimy back street profiler and as such expected their costs to be the same.
Square One were recommended to Charles Day Steel via the Design Works Scheme run by Business Link South Yorkshire. Our brief was to develop a 12 month marketing strategy with the key objectives of increasing sales enquiries and improving the perception of Charles Day.
The project involved producing a new suite of sales and marketing literature which emphasised the size, capacity and range of services on offer. The design for these focused on some dramatic photography of the cutting processes along with images of the site itself. This literature was then distributed via a series of direct mailings to existing and potential customers.
The results of the campaign have been excellent and after the second round of mailings we had generated 183 new enquiries. We also raised the profile of Charles Day amongst their existing customers promoting the full range of services on offer which encouraged further enquiries.
