Linnet are a manufacturer of cables based in Chapeltown Sheffield. There initial client base consisted of customers who they had worked with for a number of years. Some significant opportunities arose in the Middle East which coincided with extra manufacturing capacity at the factory. They had very little in terms of marketing literature and approached Square One to help them develop a product brochure along with some marketing literature including interactive CD’s, calendars and business stationary.

Following a period of consultation it was established that a corporate folder with individual data sheets for each product would be the most suitable. This Method was particularly useful as each product carried a significant amount of technical information which changed quite frequently. Having loose leaf datasheets enables them to have relatively small print runs to reduce wastage when information changed.

The design concept focused on communicating the scale of the operation and their focus on quality. We commissioned a photo shoot at the factory to illustrate to various manufacturing methods and these photographs formed the basis of the design.

The datasheets were much more technical; the design maintained the corporate feel but were much simpler in order to include all the technical specification. We also had each product photographed in a studio to illustrate the high quality of the cables and also give customers a pictorial reference for the products. This was a particularly satisfying project as we were working to very a tight deadline which with the help of some late nights we achieved!
